Marc Jacobs is perhaps the most modern and disruptive American fashion designer. He went through ups and downs, revolutionized the Louis Vuitton icon and is always going through continuous internal transformations with his brands.
Who remembers when there was Marc by Marc Jacobs, a more affordable fashion line compared to Marc Jacobs ready-to-wear? He also lived an intense era with his store of affordable products, from lipstick pens to celebrity bat t-shirts, it was a boil 10 years ago. Plus, Marc even had a makeup line— great, by the way – who is on vacation.
Cut to a more recent era and rebrand, now with his unique and sovereign MARC JACOBS. Along with this came the launch of a bag called THE SNAPSHOT which very well reflects the essence of the designer: it is practical, versatile, creative and efficient. A camera bag with a simple design, with a very discreet logo, but with many, MANY interpretations.
I have never seen a bag model with so many material variations. From classic saffiano leather to plastic, chewbacca and plush versions (I love what I bought). There are countless colors, even special creations, like with the model Kaia Gerber. In addition, the belt is distinguished, whether in the sportier version with the name in large letters, colors and even very MARC trinkets. By the way, the handles are also sold separately and you can mix and match ideas and colors.
Why am I talking about this unlaunch now? It’s just that on the last trip to New York I saw this model on a lot of very cute and cool people. It was probably the pattern I noticed the most on bags around town. A lot because it’s practical, fits the essentials well, and isn’t the most expensive!
Marc Jacobs is not considered a luxury brand à la French or Italian, but a label contemporary, but very it! With that, the model that goes in the US$350 range is very reasonable by international standards! I miss the times when we did a #QuerPagarComo with grants of US$1000-1500 and its conversion yielded around R$2000-3000.
This model can now be found here in the UK via Farfetch in the R$2200-3000 range. I bought mine and it came directly from a store in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and it arrived in less than 10 days!
For those who are looking for a bag for everyday life without being too big and who like a cool brand, this is a good tip! I’ve made a gallery of my 5 favorites below!
