CLEMSON, SC – Jamaican standout hurdler Oneka Wilson has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Clemson. The 19-year-old is looking forward to working with coach Lennox Graham and bettering her already impressive personal best of 13.00 seconds in the 100m hurdles.
“Oneka is potentially the best athlete we’ve signed in women’s steeplechase based on PB,” program director Mark Elliott hailed. “Already that would be one of the best times in the ACC.”
Next Tiger last competed in the 100m hurdles came at the Flying Angels International Classic, where he finished second to Kerrica Hill.
Wilson made the final 100m hurdles at last year’s U-20 World Championships in Nairobi, Kenya, but was unable to take her place after testing positive for COVID-19.
