The Tobago Heritage Festival kicks off tonight and promises a week of activities highlighting the island’s cultural heritage, music and food.
The Secretary for Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transport, Councilor Tashia Burris, has advised that all performances for the upcoming Tobago Heritage Festival 2022 are free, with the exception of the two main events, the Opening Night Gala and the Miss Heritage Personality Show Tobago.
Tickets for both events are TTD$100 for adults and TTD$50 for children and can be purchased at the Tobago Festivals Commission Office at GNV Place, Scarborough, Tobago.
The Tobago Heritage Festival themed “Reflect, Reborn, Rejoice rekindling the flames of our heritage”, will culminate on August 1, 2022.
The dates and events for the 2022 Tobago Heritage Festival are as follows:
July 22: Opening Night Gala
July 23: Plymouth J’Ouvert and Miss Tobago Heritage Personality Show
July 24: Passion on the North Side
July 25-July 29: Micro Market
July 25: Charlotteville Natural Treasures Day
July 27: Junior Heritage Science Contest and Exhibition
July 27: Pembroke Salaka Feast
July 28: Junior Heritage Festival Day
July 28: Les Coteaux “Folk Tales and Superstitions”
July 29: Calypso Monarch of Tobago Heritage
July 30: Moriah ‘Tobago Ole Time Wedding’
August 01: Junior Heritage Queen Pageant & Emancipation Day Celebration
