Toronto’s history cannot be written without special mention of Trinidad and Tobago, and so naturally, there will be a massive food and culture festival in the city next week to commemorate the nation’s achievements and influence.
Trinbago Festival Toronto will be hosted at Yonge & Dundas Square and will feature lots of entertainment that reflects the diversity of Trinidad and Tobago.
The weekend festivities will bring you plenty of DJs, food vendors and demonstrations, carnival band performances, prizes and even giveaways.
Celebrations for Trinidad and Tobago’s 60th anniversary of Independence began on August 1 and are culminating in this weekend’s event.
The nation’s culture, music and food were a fundamental part of Toronto’s Caribana Festival, and now you’ll be able to enjoy entertainment, food and music specific to Trinidad and Tobago.
The CN Tower and Toronto’s 3D sign at Nathan Phillips Square will also be lit up in the national colors of Trinidad and Tobago on August 27.
The free event starts on Saturday, August 27th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and ends on Sunday, August 28th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.
