Tap a Truck: Bring youngsters for carnival and more Saturday in Mocksville

Looking for some family fun?
Look no further than Cognition’s Carnival and Tap Truck Saturday, September 24th from 10am to 1pm in Downtown Mocksville.
This event will provide an opportunity for families to experience some of the fun and engaging activities that Cognition offers throughout the year.
Cognition’s future grassy lawn on Salisbury Street will become the ‘middle of the road’ with fair-themed games and competitions. Inside the building, the space will be transformed into an “Exhibition Hall” where families will be able to browse STEAM-related projects entered by local children. There will also be other family-friendly entertainment, such as face painting, music and a magician.
Get hands-on, up-close experience with all types of vehicles.
“Touch-A-Truck will provide a unique opportunity for kids of all ages to explore many types of vehicles – utility, emergency, utility, transportation, recreation, farm, construction and other cool trucks – all in one. country”, he said. Jessica Huyett, site director of Recognition.
The Touch-A-Truck showcase will be held across the street in the City Hall parking lot and along Salisbury Street.
“We first brought Touch-a-Truck to Davie County in 2019 as part of our capital campaign to open Cognition. After several years, we are excited to bring back this engaging, family-friendly event,” said Cammie Webb, board president.
