Tower City’s Skylight Park hosts carnival in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A free, family-friendly carnival was set up at Skylight Park in Tower City on Saturday for many to enjoy.

But visitors like Tiffany Wright still miss the way things were.

“At first I was kind of sad that they took it down because it was like a wishing well and people felt connected to it,” Wright said.

This new park became a reality just 2 weeks ago, staff tell 19 News it’s all about giving people a place where they can relax somewhere fun and welcoming.

But some miss the sight of the old fountain.

“I personally liked the fountain. I thought the fountain was pretty much like a landmark here when you come to visit the tower city,” said Rashad Wright.

“Now that I see it, it’s great that it’s a new look, so replacing it is a good result,” Wright said.

Carnival games, photo opportunities, magic shows, face painting and much more to change the mind of Tiffany and a few others.

“I’m okay with change, you know everything comes with change, so it’s time for something new, maybe a different kind of landmark now,” said Ebony Wright.
