What is the match?

Trinbago Knight Riders take on St Lucia Kings in the 2022 Caribbean Premier League.

When is it taking place?

The match is scheduled to take place at 19:00 local time (GMT-5) on Sunday, September 18.

Where is the match played?

This game will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.

Who has the form?

A mid-table clash between two teams who need the points if they are to keep pace with runaway leaders Barbados Royals.

Trinbago have won twice in the last three days, beating Guyana Amazon Warriors on Thursday, before overcoming Jamaica Tallawahs despite a poor start in their pursuit. This is their third game in a row.

For the Kings, this is the chance to build on the momentum created by a convincing win against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, where Faf du Plessis and Johnson Charles set a 189-run target that their players could easily defend.

What is the match to watch?

It’s impossible to look past Trinbago’s star-studded middle order, which features three of the franchise’s T20 circuit bigs in Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell. None of them, however, will be in the T20 World Cup this fall; Neither Russell nor Narine were selected, while Pollard has retired from international cricket.

St. Lucia can turn to David Wiese to counter their triple threat; the Namibian all-rounder finished with outstanding figures of 3 for 8 from his four overs against the Patriots, stifling their chase in the middle overs.

The Knight Riders will have to come up with their own plans, however, to offload Johnson Charles, the leading scorer in the competition so far. His opening partner Faf du Plessis is seventh on that list.

What’s the news from the camps?

Both teams have used the depth of their squads so far, with St Lucia fielding 19 players in seven matches, while Trinbago have used 16.
