TRINIDAD and Tobago ended the Women’s Cricket West Indies T20 Blaze with a 19-run win over Barbados on Tuesday. Victory for the TT would mean Jamaica could still leapfrog Barbados and clinch the title with a win on Tuesday.
If Jamaica defeats the Leeward Islands, Jamaica and Barbados will end the tournament with four wins. The net execution rate will then be used to determine the winner.
The match between Jamaica and the Leeward Islands has ended at 14:30.
TT scored 108/7 in 20 overs with Rachael Vincent scoring 22 not out from 21 balls with two fours.
Britney Cooper and Anisa Mohammed contributed 22 and 20, respectively.
Spinner Hayley Matthews was the top bowler for Barbados with 2/25 in four overs and fast bowler Shakera Selman took 2/30 in four overs.
In reply, Barbados were restricted to 89/7 in their 20 overs. Off-spinner Anisa Mohammed led from the front for TT finishing with figures of 3/11 in three overs.
Kamara Ragoobar also showed her quality with 2/16 in four overs.
Aaliyah Alleyne tried to take Barbados to the target as she hit 26 off 32 balls with a four.
Kyshona Knight was also among the runs scoring 23.
TT finished the tournament with three wins, one loss and one draw.
