Trinidad and Tobago: Two men will appear in the Arima Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, September 1, 2022, after being charged with several firearms possession charges.

DANE MARAJ, 38, of Timberland Park, D’Abadie was charged with transfer of firearms, possession of firearms (parts), possession of firearms in violation of a firearm user’s license and trafficking in firearms. While ROLAND SURAJDEEN, 47, of Palmiste, San Fernando, was charged with possession of a firearm (part) and violation of the conditions of a firearm user’s license.

Meanwhile, at around 11.45pm on August 30, a 17-year-old man was arrested after officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and South West Division Task Force (SWDTF) executed a search warrant at the house located on Sunrees Road, Criminal. . During a search of the premises, officers found a 38 Special revolver, which contained three rounds of .38 Special ammunition, among a pile of clothes wrapped in a jacket belonging to the suspect.

Officers conducted a search near a boiler, where a black plastic bag containing a Rossi .38 revolver with five rounds of .38 special ammunition and a transparent plastic wrapper containing 190 grams of marijuana were seized.
