TOMORROWLAND – one of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals held in Belgium – is finally back after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid19 pandemic, and festival-goers will get a taste of Trinidad and Tobago as they live local producer Keshav Chandradath Singh. performing.
Singh is one half of the production and percussion duo Jus Now, creating timeless soca hits like Bunji Garlin’s Big Bad Soca and Truck on D Road and Machel Montano’s Junction. He also recently began exploring the vocal side of the music industry, releasing singles and an EP titled Attraction.
Tomorrowland presents artists in various subgenres of electronic music such as house, trance, techno, drum and bass, etc.
This year, it is scheduled for three weekends (July 15-17, 22-24 and 29-31) and will feature major electronic music stars such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Major Lazer, Nervo, Dimitri Vegas. and Like Mike, among others.
A total of 700 headline artists will perform on 14 stages and all 600,000 tickets have been sold.
Keshav told Newsday that Tomorrowland has actually been on his festival bucket list, so he’s excited about it.

Rakka has often been referred to as Belgium’s soca ambassador as he promotes TT’s music and culture and invited Singh to join him at the festival.
“That was a possibility before the pandemic and actually it didn’t happen because the pandemic happened, and it was up in the air whether Tomorrowland was going to happen or not and Rakka wanted to bring me with him. This time, when he came, they asked about the guy he wanted to bring , so I was lucky in that regard.”
Besides pounding the drums and bringing a TT-style rhythm section vibe to the stage, Keshav will be performing some of his newest vocal tracks.
“It’s a very interesting first opportunity for me to be on the stage of a big international festival for the first time and it’s also my international debut as a vocalist.”
He said he “really believes” in Raqqa and that he is “100 percent an ambassador for our culture.
“Having someone here on the ground and playing (at) these kinds of festivals, clubs, concerts – it’s something that spreads and expands the impact of our music.
“I feel really happy and excited about it and I’m excited as an artist to come and get on a stage and rock a Tomorrowland crowd, Trini-style.”
Keshav and Rakka will perform on the Ultra Modern Radio stage at 1:00 PM TT on July 24 and 9:00 AM TT on July 31.
