Trinidad and Tobago Women recorded their first win in the T20 Blaze 2022 when they defeated the Leeward Islands by 36 runs in Providence on Saturday.
Lee-Ann Kirby (26) and Djenaba Joseph (23) were the top scorers, while Anisa Mohammed hit 14 not out off 8 balls in Trinidad and Tobago’s 108 for 7.
Tiffany Thorpe (2/10) and Rozel Liburd (2/14) were the top goalies for the Leeward Islands.
Karishma Ramharack (3/4) then destroyed the Leeward Islands’ top order as they slumped to 33 for 5 at the end of the 11th over.
Steffie Soogrim was 2 for 17, while Lee-Ann Kirby went 1 for 16 in the win.
Trinidad and Tobago has now moved up to third place with six points from three games.
