The Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board has named Adrian Ali as captain of the National League team to face a senior Tobago side in a three-match Test series at Shaw Park.
The series of matches, which includes a 50-over match, a T20 match and a 40-over match, will serve as trials for the selectors in the national team for the upcoming regional tournaments.
Ali led the Hummingbirds to victory in the TTCB Senior 50-over final in May, and captained Marchin Patriots to the Premiership II (North) finals.
Trinidad’s National League squad includes outstanding youth batsmen Kyle Ramdoo, Andrew Rambaran, Rajeev Ramnath and Shaaron Lewis, who was recently named as a reserve for the CWI Emerging Players Academy.
On 20 June, the Tobago Cricket Association named a 19-man training squad for the series.
The team included versatile players Jahron Alfred, Orlando James and Dejourn Charles.
