Trinidad and Tobago umpire Joel Wilson has been appointed to the ICC Men’s Cricket Committee.
The 55-year-old was appointed to the Elite Panel Umpire committee at the ICC Board Meeting in Dubai.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be selected by your peers to represent the fraternity on such an important committee. The committee was created to improve all aspects of the game, especially the rules, regulations, laws and conditions of the game,” said Wilson.
“Over the next year I look forward to working with the other members of the committee to try to improve all aspects of cricket … and I hope to have a more than positive impact,” he added.
Wilson started his international career in 2011 and has played in 28 Test matches, 75 One Day Internationals and 39 T20 Internationals.
