Twitter is getting into video games, but in a very unexpected way.

Steam sells games to make a profit, Netflix offers games as an added bonus to paying subscribers, but Twitter made a game(Opens in a new window) to help us understand its privacy policy.

It’s called Twitter Data Dash(Opens in a new window), and is a 2D platformer played in a web browser. The game is set in PrivaCity and tasks the player with safely navigating a dog named Data in the park. Each level sees you navigate a different environment collecting bones along the way. Once all the bones are collected, a message appears containing digestible Twitter tips like the one you see above for direct messages.

No one likes to read a privacy policy, and most people don’t even bother because it’s usually full of legal jargon that’s too hard to parse. It’s easier to entice someone to play a game, even if the experience isn’t that memorable.
