It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally here! Twitter is allowing its users to edit tweets, but wait, you have to be a Blue subscriber to take advantage of this feature, the app has confirmed.
The new functionality will soon be rolling out to users across New Zealand, Australia and even Canada. Moreover, the platform’s paid service makes you a member of the Blue club, and only then can you get the most out of this wonderful feature.
For a while, the whole ordeal was mere rumor and many would not believe it until they saw it. But then the app came out to confirm how it was busy working on the feature for modifications in early 2022.

Twitter mentioned how this would initially be seen as an internal test, but just a week ago, we heard mention that it was soon time for a public launch. Therefore, the Twitter Editor button is finally working live for the first time ever. And it’s the app’s Blue subscribers who love it.
While Twitter failed to explain much in detail with its new tweet about the launch, there are several blog posts on the matter that explain in detail how this all actually works.
For example, it will give users the ability to make changes like hashtags, typos, and other things that happened in the 30-minute time frame, moments after the tweet was published. Once the edit is complete, this tweet will have a number of visual cues such as icons, tags, and even timestamps that tell the viewer that it has been changed.
As stated in the past, this launch will be exclusive to Blue subscribers. And if you’re not too familiar with what it is, well, this paid subscription allows users to access the most advanced features out there.
There are definitely many benefits and this includes exclusive access to the custom icons seen in the app. Then you can take advantage of the ability to undo a tweet, bookmark your essentials, and even get access to ad-free articles.
Likewise, subscribers will be given the opportunity to access features that have not yet been released to the general public and are being developed in Twitter’s labs.
For now, it’s NFT screenshots, better quality videos, and the ability to edit tweets that are available. Similarly, subscribers are given the opportunity to login in the Space tab of the application. And if you’re interested in making an edit to a tweet, be sure to subscribe to the Blue feature and take advantage. It’s about $4.99 every month.
At this time, this Edit Tweet button is only rolling out in a few countries. But don’t worry, the company hopes to launch in the US soon. There is no definitive timeline, but it will happen for sure.
