Twitter fans will love this next tidbit! The most awaited “Edit Button” is being tested from the company after so many years of jokes and hilarious memes.
This means that editable tweets will eventually be available, but not for everyone right now. The company mentioned that the launch to its Twitter Blue subscribers would be the start and would arrive at the end of this month.
For now, the functionality has reached its internal testing phase and appears to be remarkably similar in design and use to its Facebook rival’s editing style. This includes a full associated edit history for all of his tweets that were seen thanks to several leaks during the first half of this year.
A new blog post from the platform detailed how tweets would now be edited multiple times in the 30-minute time frame immediately after they were posted.
Any tweet that has undergone an edit will also appear with that particular icon, label and timestamp. This way, it will be clear to all readers that the original post has been modified.

This new edit tag would also include an entire edit history, while past versions of the particular tweet would also be available. For now, the firm is only testing the editable feature with a small group of people. In this way, any problems in the early period could be easily detected.
This implies how people can end up misusing the new feature. As Twitter reiterates, one can never be too careful in this regard.
Without a doubt, this particular Edit button has been one of the most requested features of all time. For a while now, people can’t help but urge admin members to take notice, and now that Twitter has, there are some concerns about its misuse.
As mentioned by the company’s former CEO, Jack Dorsey, such a button was not used in the app and therefore, most likely, would never appear in this app. But it is clearly not so.
In case you didn’t know, Twitter is definitely a little late to the party. Apps like Facebook, Medium, and Instagram have offered edit buttons for a while now. And also, there are not many cases that prove its misuse.
But a rare example came via the Facebook app where a cryptocurrency scam involved the edit button. However, it didn’t jump around much and was again very rare to come across.
Twitter is currently only talking about a possible launch for Blue users only. Therefore, we are not sure if and when the button would be made available to regular users of the platform.
