Twitter has no plans to dwell on the past and that’s why we’re seeing the app move forward with some new updates for app users.
For starters, Twitter is tweaking its content options records and its associated long content. This feature is only rolled out to a select few users at the moment, but a possible expansion is on the cards soon.
The feature was first introduced last month to a select few as part of a test where writers were the designated target audience. In case you’re not quite familiar with the feature, Notes is pretty much another name given to a tool used for blogging.
It can be found widely on the web, having the great ability to produce nearly 2500 words. This will be easily inserted throughout the application for obvious purposes such as sharing with others.
Therefore, the biggest benefit involved is removing the tedious process associated with photographing large chunks of text and then clipping them into a separate tweet so that others can see it. Also, those who used to spend so much time sharing long threads in the app will now be able to do so easily using Notes.
Twitter says the whole idea is to help creators on the platform with an easy way out, rather than forcing them to use links. Previously, audiences went to different platforms to catch long-form content.
After seeing users using the new Notes update, we can safely say that the app is definitely a worthwhile change for those who love posting long threads.
Each note will have an app that focuses on each author, and we think this is a great step towards both personal branding and engaging with different audiences. But there are also some reports about the app also adding a separate section for quotes.
While we think this change may be small, it definitely shows how much effort Twitter is putting into helping its writing community get better exposure.
The app has since rolled out a series of updates for iOS users, which is being seen as a strong push to get more users on board.
Twitter says users will soon see a revamped bar that displays all of its chat rooms in the iOS app. This way, users would have more clarity in terms of deciphering who is actually waiting, not to mention a look at Discussions, and also a strong emphasis on Spaces too.

While the update was rolled out last month for users with Android devices, we’re finally seeing it now make its way to iOS users. These individuals will also be allowed access to Twitter spaces, where they can witness various changes at the top of each timeline.
Twitter is definitely on the move because it has proven over time that it is here to garner more user engagement within the app and for that, they will have to make some changes.
Most notable is its audio chatrooms that once seemed very much in line with Clubhouse, but now, it’s proving to be stiff competition.
So what new features has Twitter Spaces introduced for fans? Well, firstly, hosts can now record and even play back recordings, moments after the Space ends.
Users will then be allowed to capture their favorite piece of Spaces and share it with those who matter most. And finally, we can expect to see more people using Spaces as the getting started process is further simplified.
All in all, these are some pretty cool changes and some we think Twitter needs.
