Twitter is working on the shopping section and that chat feature for communities / Digital Information World

Online shopping and e-commerce have taken over the shopping industry since the Covid-19 pandemic hit two years ago. The pandemic forced everyone into their homes with very little contact with the outside world. This was when home delivery and online shopping took off and made their mark. Many people started running small businesses back then and used Facebook and other social networks to advertise their products and take orders through direct messages. This is when companies realized the importance of E-Commerce and introduced their own versions of shopping centers, the Store or Marketplace.

Twitter had to have its own marketplace and users had the option to buy to see when ordering in the app. Well, it looks like Twitter has started some kind of work on the shopping section, as reported by Alessandro Paluzzibut it’s not clear what the app is working on at the moment.

In the reply section of the post, one user said that there is no need for unnecessary updates to the shopping section, but more improvements to the overall app such as the inevitable removal of auto-refresh on Android phones and the need to bring back Fleets as for Android as well as for iOS.

Overall, this just points out that Twitter doesn’t need to improve on what’s already perfect and should start working on other, more pressing problems.

Moving on, Twitter Communities is a very popular place for people to hang out in fandoms or groups related to a certain topic. And now Twitter has started working on a chat option for Twitter communities.

According to the screenshot posted by Paluzzi on Twitter, right after the community flag goes down and the hashtags start, there’s an open Chat option in bright blue there. We don’t know much about this feature and the things mentioned above are all we know, so enjoy.
