Twitter users can now tip other people on Twitter using Barter by Flutterwave and Paga after the two fintech services were added as payment providers by Twitter.
Barter is a web and mobile app from payments technology firm Flutterwave that allows people to send and receive money abroad instantly and securely at affordable rates.
Flutterwave also just became a triple unicorn after raising $250 million with words that the company will use its funding to become a major tech company on the continent.

Paga is a payments and financial services ecosystem for Africa. Their consumer app enables consumers to access and use money in the way that is most convenient for them.
In addition to African services, Twitter also added support for Indian payments provider Paytm as it expands its payments network to include regional players. In addition, Twitter also added Ethereum addresses to the Tip Jar feature, allowing users to make payments to Ethereum addresses.
However, according to Techcrunch, when you send an ETH tip, you’re not actually tipping via Twitter. Instead, clicking on a user’s ETH type option simply copies their address so you can then navigate to your crypto wallet and send the user an ETH tip.
According to Twitter, the Tip is a feature that allows you to add links to opt-in to third-party payment services on your Twitter profile.
When you have the feature enabled, people can support you by tapping on your Tips icon to send you money or Bitcoin or now ETH, off-platform via third-party payment services and platforms you’ve added.
Globally, the Twitter Tip feature supports payment services including PayPal and Venmo.
