Twitter users who want to add Tips links to their profile using their Android mobile device must first update to the latest version of the app. To do this, open the Google Play Store and search for Twitter; if the app is not currently updated to the latest version, an “Update” button will be visible on its Play Store page. Tap Update to install the latest version of Twitter for Android.
Once the app is updated, the newly added Tip feature will be accessible by tapping on one’s profile in the Android app and then tapping Edit Profile. A new menu item titled “Tips” should now be visible in the app; tap it to activate the feature.
Twitter will introduce its tipping policy, which users must agree to before the feature is enabled on their profile. From there, users will be presented with the Tips settings and the Allow Tips option. Enabling this feature will allow Android users to add links to their respective third-party supported payment accounts.
According to Twitter, users will need to add at least one third-party payment account in order for the Tips icon to appear on their profiles. Keep in mind that anyone who clicks on these Tips links will be able to see the Twitter user’s information on third-party platforms, including things like their $Cashtag and any personal information that third-party platform third offers to senders.
