U-15s start title defence against Bajans | Local Sports

The Trinidad and Tobago U-15 team, led by Brendan Boodoo, will open their Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars Under-15 Super50 against Barbados today in Grenada.

The tournament resumes after a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

T&T are the reigning champions and the home side should be well prepared after starting preparations in June. Captain Boodoo should have a fair amount of confidence after making a century and three fifties in the practice games leading up to the contest.

The T&T juniors will play their Barbados counterparts at Progress Park in the first round of matches that will also see the Windward Islands playing Guyana at the Grenada National Stadium and the Leeward Islands playing Jamaica in Lasagesse.

There will also be matches tomorrow, where T&T will face Jamaica, Barbados will face Guyana and Windwards will face Leewards.

At the end of the competition, CWI will select a West Indies U-15 team.
