The closing of the Lavradio Jazz Fest program, Club Dolores,
features powerhouse singer Emily Braden, Boise’s big bad beauty.
Originally from Boise, Idaho, Emily Braden is a New York-based jazz vocalist and songwriter. Whether leading an orchestra or a trio in the heart of Manhattan, Braden has the ability to win over any audience with his powerful vocals and impressive stage presence.
Winner of New York’s prestigious Jazzmobile “Best of the Best” music competition, Braden’s signature sound is an effortless blend of jazz and soul. Their debut album Soul Walk consists of high-energy originals and “inverted” jazz standards.
Braden has performed at popular New York venues such as the Blue Note Jazz Club (Late Night Groove Series), Birdland Jazz Club, le poisson rouge, BAMCafe as well as the international festival circuit.
The jazz singer will be accompanied by Russian/American pianist and arranger Misha Piatigorsky, emerging as one of the most innovative musicians on the international music scene today. His unique marriage of powerful melodies with an unusual harmonic sensibility gives his sound a deeply personal and cosmopolitan dimension.

His music can also be heard on the soundtracks of major films, including Chaos Theory, Pretty Persuasion, Victory Over Darkness, RX and Danika. Piatigorsky has also produced over thirty award-winning albums in various genres ranging from Hip-Hop and Jazz to Brazilian and Jewish Music.
