Under-17s battle at NCC today | Local Sports

The Price Club U-17 youth tournament begins today with East Zone vs. Central Zone in the Group A match at the National Cricket Center (NCC) in Balmain, Couva.

The opening match will be preceded by a short opening ceremony.

The U-17 tournament is the third youth competition organized by the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) since the resumption of team sports in February.

The Price Club/Tiger Tanks U-19 tournament concluded last Wednesday with the Central Zone U-19s beating East in the final at the NCC.

Meanwhile, the Scotiabank NextGen Under-15 Development Program was completed last Friday with Southeast emerging as champions after the final was abandoned due to rain. The South East had a perfect record in the competition with three wins in the group stage and victory over the North in the semi-finals.

South East open their U-17 Group B campaign against Central at Sancho Road Recreation, while South West take on South at James Park.

The next Group A game will see the North East play Tobago at the Prisons Ground in Arouca.
