USC hosts 95th anniversary two-day event

The University of the Southern Caribbean will host a two-day event commemorating his 95th birthday.

In a statement, the organization said the two-day event, themed “Creating a MetaVerse: Reflect, Connect, Impact,” will commemorate “nine and a half decades of transformative excellence rooted in holistic education, research and regional development, during – sustainable musical heritage, cultural diversity and spiritual education”.

The schedule of activities is as follows:

Friday, August 26, 2022:

10:00 – Opening ceremony

USC’s main campus, Maracas, St. Joseph

19:00 – Virtual Evening Service

Streamed on YouTube and Facebook – University of the Southern Caribbean

Saturday, August 27, 2022

9:30 a.m. – Saturday service

USC Auditorium, Main Campus, Maracas, St

17:00 – Celebration Concert

“As our American alumni, students, faculty, staff, family and friends gather to recognize this historic moment on Saturday, August 27 at 5 p.m., we bring down the curtain on this magnificent two-day event, with a celebration concert and FREE fundraiser featuring – Marc Isaacs, Gates Praise, Bj’orn Pierre, RĂ©nee Lawrence, St. Hilaire Brothers, Xchange, Shurnelle Spencer, Worth, Seraphim Chorale and many more.”

The organization said the proceeds will advance USC’s priority projects as they “reflect, connect and impact the Wonder Valley.”
