Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro confirmed on Thursday that the head of the official delegation for political dialogue, Jorge Rodríguez, traveled to Paris to represent his government in peace talks in Venezuela and the region.
Various international media reports that Rodríguez will meet privately with the representative of the radical Venezuelan opposition, Gerardo Blyde, with the support of the French government and the presidents of Argentina and Colombia, who are in Paris.

The Peace Forum, an event attended by Rodríguez and the presidents of Argentina, Colombia and France, will take place between November 11 and 13 in the French capital.
Jorge Rodríguez must arrive in Paris, he will go to Paris to meet with Emmanuel Macron, to talk about peace,” Maduro said without giving further details.
The international media also emphasize the participation of the elected president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in the Forum where the situation in South America and peace in the region will be discussed.
Jorge Rodríguez, who is also the president of the national parliament, has been the head of the official delegation in the various dialogue processes between the aforementioned parties in recent years.
In October of last year, Caracas announced the indefinite suspension of dialogue processes with the opposition, after the Venezuelan diplomat and businessman, Álex Saab, was transferred without a court order to the United States and imprisoned there.
