Steel Drums, twirling swans, Percy Pig and a host of colourful, fun and quirky characters all featured at Margate Carnival today (August 7).
After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, the event is back, working its way from Palm Bay, along the coast past Turner Contemporary, Old Town and Dreamland, before finishing in Westbrook.
Crowds of onlookers filled the street enjoying the spectacle put on by dance troupes, community and youth groups and clubs, businesses, individuals, carnival courts and more.
