Cops in Brooklyn are searching for the subway thug who attacked a man with a bat while riding the N train Wednesday morning.
Police released video footage of the suspect wanted for the attack, which happened at 7:30 a.m. July 20 aboard an N train heading to Coney Island near the Fort Hamilton Parkway station in Borough Park.
According to law enforcement sources, the suspect approached the 41-year-old male victim and spat in his face. The reason for the initial attack is not yet known, police sources said.
In response, authorities said the victim pulled out his cell phone and began recording the attacker. A portion of the video, which the NYPD released Wednesday night, shows the suspect threatening and threatening the victim about recording him.
Seconds later, police said, the thug pulled out an expandable bat and began hitting the victim in the right arm and right leg with it. The suspect then punched the man in the face.
As the victim left the train on the Fort Hamilton Parkway, troopers said, the attacker remained on board as it sped away south.
The event was reported in Area 68 and Transit District 34. The victim was taken to a local hospital and listed in stable condition.
