Videos On Twitter Will Appear Like TikTok As App Switches To Full-Screen Immersive Content / Digital Information World

Another day means another opportunity for a leading digital app to cross over and take inspiration from TikTok. And we can’t blame them because that’s how popular the platform has become.

The latest news is related to Twitter making changes to its video content that allows it to adopt a more immersive style. Think along the lines of the immersive full-screen video players we see with TikTok for viewing different clips.

And embracing this style means videos will look the same as in the archrival app.

The news was confirmed from the company on Thursday, and there’s also talk of borrowing another swipe-up feature through which users can scroll through more video content on Twitter.

This new update will make watching videos through the app a much more familiar experience. And it’s just like what we see when we scroll through Reels on Instagram or TikTok.

For now, we know the changes are limited to Twitter’s iOS users, but the company’s similar update would arrive in time for Android in a few weeks.

Twitter has gone public with the promotion of live video content on various parts of the platform. This change is said to be part of the company’s aggressive decision to offer more videos to fans of the app. However, it is a risk as some may think of the change as a change that is a bit controversial.

The firm says users can move back and forth to their original tweet at will with the help of the back arrow found on the top left side of a clip. On the other hand, there is also talk of the app testing a new change that prompts people to watch more videos on the app.

This comes in the form of a new test for video recommendations and can be found on the app’s Explore page. All of these suggestions will be available to users in different countries using Twitter in English via iOS or Android.

As you can imagine, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of such news taking center stage in terms of copying TikTok’s user interface. But we hope the risk proves to be in the best interest of the app and doesn’t backfire.
