The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers who would like to participate in this year’s Brick City Carnival.
The 4th installment of the annual event will take place on Saturday, October 8th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion located at 2232 NE Jacksonville Road in Ocala.
The carnival will feature costume contests, inflatables, food trucks, face painting, games, music and lots of candy. During last year’s event, approximately 5,000 people of all ages were in attendance.
The parks and recreation department is currently seeking volunteers to help organize their games, crafts and candy station during the four-hour event. New volunteers will have an opportunity to accumulate volunteer hours for planning, organizing and implementing the carnival.
Also, all participating voluntary groups will have the opportunity to inform the attendees about the products and services they offer.
