Rovman Powell fights against the Barbados Royals
Batting first, Royals got off to a shaky start, losing wickets at regular intervals. Quinton de Kock‘s cameo provided a brief respite but the Royals struggled to build a substantial partnership. However, Rowman Powell‘s brilliant knock in the middle order provided a much-needed boost. Trinbago Knight Riders’ chase is hampered by a shaky start
The pursuit of Knight Riders began disastrously, with Sunil Narine walking away from the first delivery. The early wickets put pressure on the Knight Riders and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. However, Nicholas PooranHis counterattacks gave hope. The left-hander’s aggressive approach helped the Knight Riders stay in the game.
Powell and Jason Holder combine to bowl a stunner
With Pooran looking dangerous, Barbados Royals desperately needed a breakthrough. Powell addressed him Keshav Maharajand the South African spinner delivered. However, Pooran’s dismissal was the result of a brilliant fielding effort by Powell and Jason Holder. Powell was caught in the long run but realized he was about to cross the line. In a quick-thinking move, he turned the ball back and Holder completed a spectacular catch to dismiss Pooran.

Despite Pooran’s dismissal, the Knight Riders continued to fight back. Keacy CartyA blast of 32 off 21 ensured they stayed in the hunt. In the end, the Knight Riders managed to chase down the target of 157 runs with two wickets to spare, securing a thrilling win with a ball to spare.
