Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a shooting that happened in Kitchener.
On September 15, 2022, at approximately 11:00 p.m., police received a report that a person had been shot in the area of Aspen Avenue and Mausser Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found a 24-year-old Kitchener male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
There will be an increased police presence in the area throughout the day as Detectives carry out a canvass of the area.
The investigation is ongoing by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Serious Crimes Unit, General Investigations Unit and Forensic Identification Unit.
