Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Stabbing around Albert and Hazel Streets in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in the area of ​​Albert Street and Hazel Street in Waterloo.

On August 28, 2022, shortly before 10:00 p.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing.

From the initial investigations, the police learned that some young people confronted the victim and there was a physical fight.

A 57-year-old Waterloo man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from a stab wound.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 14-16 years old, six feet tall and wearing a black hoodie and black pants. The young man was riding a black bicycle.

The second suspect is described as a white male, 14-16 years old, 6’1″ tall with short blonde hair and wearing a black hoodie. The male also had a skateboard.

The third suspect is described as a white male, between the ages of 14 and 16, and was wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray pants.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit.
