Waterloo Regional Police Make Arrest after Female Observed Pointing Gun

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a female after responding to a report of an individual brandishing a firearm.

On August 26, 2022, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police responded to the area of ​​King Street West and Francis Street North in Kitchener after a female was seen pointing a firearm at a male during an argument.

The police were able to find the woman and found that the firearm was not real.

No physical injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigations, a 48-year-old woman has been charged with “Weapons for dangerous purposes, Assault with a weapon and violation of a court order”.

The accused has been kept in police custody for a bail hearing.
