MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to No. 1 Texas at Gregory Gymnasium in Austin, Texas on Saturday, October 22nd.
Starter outside hitter Bailey Miller led the game in kills (11) and added four digs. She was followed by a fifth-year outside hitter Adrian Ellwho tallied five kills, seven assists and eight digs.
First Year First Shirt Setter Kamiah Gibson collected 18 assists to lead WVU as the junior libero Skye Stokes notched 11 excavations at the top of the Highlanders.
The Mountaineers (7-14, 0-8 Big 12) fell to the Longhorns (15-1, 7-1 Big 12) before falling in the third set.
Additionally, West Virginia posted 30 kills and 30 digs to lead the match.
The team returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 26, when it returns to Morgantown to face Big 12 Conference foe Iowa State at the WVU Coliseum. First service is scheduled for 5:00 PM ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU, and live stats for the game can be found at WVUSports.com.
