As both of our basketball programs wrap up their exhibition schedules, our athletic department is excited to welcome the Wildcat Family back to the McKale Center for some elite men’s and women’s college basketball action. Both teams are poised for outstanding seasons that will continue their legacies of excellence. Our programs are also filled with outstanding student-athletes and outstanding leaders who proudly represent the University of Arizona and the Wildcat Way.

McKale Center is the epicenter of college basketball and the best atmosphere in the country. We led the Pac-12 in attendance last season in both men’s and women’s basketball, and that’s because of the best fans in the country. This popular venue brims with a unique and dynamic energy that makes it one of the most difficult venues for opponents to play. Our home field advantage is built on the support of all of you, the Wildcat Family. Coach Lloyd and the Wildcats’ season opener is 7:30 pm (MST) on Monday, November 7 against Nicholls State. Thursday, November 10th at 6:30pm (MST) is when Coach Barnes and the Wildcats will open their year against NAU. If you would like to purchase your Arizona Men’s Basketball season tickets, click here. Season tickets for Coach Barnes and Arizona Women’s Basketball season are also available for purchase.

I look forward to seeing the Wildcat Family fill the McKale Center bleachers this season and cheer on our student-athletes, coaches and staff.

BEAR DOWN ARIZONA SUCCESS

Coach Moros and the Wildcats are continuing their excellence on the field to close out their season after sweeping the Oregon schools at home over the weekend. The two wins saw Arizona score seven total goals, which marked the highest Pac-12 weekend in program history. The wins also pushed the program’s record to 5-1-1 in its last seven games as it travels to Tempe on Friday for the Pac-12 final against the Sun Devils at 7:00 PM (MST).

Arizona Soccer continues to be a point of pride for our university, community, and the Wildcat Family, and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our soccer student-athletes, coaches, and staff for all of the tremendous achievements and accomplishments of the season thus far. We are excited to watch you compete on the field this week. Bear Down and Go Cats!

COMBINATION CORNER

As we begin the second half of the fall semester, please remember that our student-athletes have academic standards that they must meet each semester. These standards include a certain GPA and completion of a percentage of credits toward their stated degree program. In addition, like all other University of Arizona students, there is a standard of academic integrity that they must follow. For more information on those policies, please click here. Failure to adhere to the policy may result in our Wildcats being deemed ineligible. We thank you for your help in keeping our ‘Cats in the game. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Compliance Office.
