WINSTED – The Winsted Fire Department will hold its annual Fireman’s Carnival at 75 Rowley Street, Winsted, opening at 6pm on August 24th.
Carnival hours are 6-10pm August 24-25 and 6-11pm August 26-27.
Wednesday and Thursday is Wristband Night, where with the purchase of a special wristband for $30, kids will get unlimited rides on the carnival.
The Beer Garden will have live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.
The food tent will sell fried dough, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, onion rings and fries.
Raffle tickets with a variety of seven prizes will be available on the carnival grounds for purchase.
Fireworks will be held at 9:30pm on Friday, with a rain date set for Saturday, August 27.
The Firefighter Parade begins at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, with a new route and more than 25 departments participating from across the state. Rowley Street is under construction, so this year, the parade will start on Lake Street, follow Main Street past the reviewing stand, turn right on Case Ave, left on Willow Street and end at the Carnival Grounds .
