Gwenyth T. was walking her 5-year-old son, Clark, to school when she received a motivational speech.
Clark is now in school for the first time due to the pandemic and it has been a bit of a difficult transition. “He’s a sweet, sensitive baby. An only child who’s just very verbal, very talkative. Just me and him talking all the time. Very smart. Emotionally aware,” she wrote to Mashable in a direct message on Twitter. Wanting to help her feel that it’s okay to be nervous, Gwenyth shared that she was feeling nervous about an upcoming parent-teacher conference. That’s when he started giving life advice that is wise beyond his years.

If you’re wondering who Dolly is, Clark is apparently a huge Dolly Parton fan. Gwenyth says he’s been into “Here You Come Again” lately, but “he’s also pretty partial to ‘Jolene’ and ‘Tennessee Mountain Home.'” Besides enjoying the soulful genius of Dolly Parton’s songwriting , walking and reading have helped Clark ease the transition of going to school, his mother says. “We’ve been working a lot with him on coping mechanisms and he’s doing really well now.”
You can read the whole thread on Twitter. And, oh yeah, there’s already a “Dolly on a Dinosaur” t-shirt.
