Season tickets are now on sale for the 2022-23 season under the fourth-year coach Kiley Hill. Season tickets for adults are just $50 and youth tickets are $35. Special yard season tickets are available for just $100. Fans can also catch all 30 Catamount men’s and women’s basketball games at home with an All-hoops season ticket starting at just $101 and an All-hoops youth season ticket starting at just $66 dollars. Single-match tickets go on sale on Wednesday, October 26th.
Those who purchase season tickets by Tuesday, Oct. 25, will receive “The Starting Five” incentive, including discounted food and merchandise at games and a chance to win courtside seats, SoCon Basketball Championship tickets and Catamount Nike apparel. Fans can get their first look at the 2022-23 Catamounts on Wednesday, October 12 for A Night in the Whee Presented by Prospect Cullowhee. The free event at the Ramsey Center is hosted by WCU’s own Brian Boyer and includes spotlight presentations by both teams, a Catamount Shootout, Slam Dunk competition and performances by the WCU and NPHC Spirit Squad. There will also be free pizza and prizes for WCU students. Gates open at 6:15 and the program begins at 7:00 p.m.
The Catamounts open the season at home with back-to-back tips at 7:00 pm beginning Monday, November 7th vs. Bluefield State then Winthrop on Thursday, Nov. 10th. The December home schedule begins with an Education Day tip at noon against Queens on December 1str. The first doubleheader of the season has the Catamounts facing UAB at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 3st. Campbell’s War Camels visit Cullowhee on Tuesday, December 6th at 7 pm. Sunday, December 11th The Catamounts take on Montreat at 2 p.m. Another in-state foe visits Cullowhee on Monday, December 19th when the Eagles of NC Central tip off the Catamounts at 7 p.m.
A home game against UNCW at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Resort is next on the slate for WCU on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. More ticket details will be released in the coming weeks. The 2022 slate concludes with a 2:00 PM tip-off on Friday, December 30 against Southern Wesleyan.
The SoCon home season begins with a 7:00 pm tip against Wofford on Thursday, January 12, followed by a Saturday, January 14 tip against Furman at 2:00 pm. Two straight home games with tip-offs at 7:00 pm are next for the Catamounts as UNC Greensboro visits WCU on January 19th and Mercer comes to the Ramsey Center on February 2ndn.d.
A Saturday doubleheader against Samford is scheduled for February 4th tip-off at 5pm following the men’s match earlier in the afternoon. The home season closes with a 7:00 p.m. opener on Thursday, February 23 against Chattanooga, followed by another doubleheader on Saturday, February 25 against ETSU at 7:00 p.m.
All regular-season Catamount basketball home games at Ingles Court in the Ramsey Center will be broadcast on either ESPN3 or ESPN+ with live audio coverage through the Catamount Sports Network (CSN) available for each game.
Once again this season, WCU Athletics will implement a clear bag policy for all home men’s and women’s basketball games at the Ramsey Center. Only standard clear bags, 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches in size, small bags approximately 4.5 inches by 5 inches not including the strap, and clear gallon size storage bags are allowed. diaper bag (the child must be present at the entrance) and any medical related bags will be allowed.
