WRPS’ General Investigations Unit has Laid Charges in Connection to Cambridge Disturbance

Waterloo Region, Ontario Waterloo Regional Police have charged a young man after a physical altercation in Cambridge.

On August 22, 2022, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of ​​Southwood Drive and St. Andrews Street.

The victim, a 27-year-old Cambridge woman, suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services.

On 3 September 2022, as a result of ongoing investigations by the WRPS General Investigations Unit, police arrested a 16-year-old Cambridge youth. The young man is charged with aggravated assault.

The accused was released on a bond.
